Supporting Others
LJHA has a network of support services provided either directly by the Association or together with other organisations to meet the needs of individual and groups of tenants.
Older People
- Supported (Sheltered) Housing Schemes offer a range of support including 24/7 on site housing support staff to ‘emergency call’ facilities.
- Social, educational & leisure activities are held in communal lounges and at the MAAZ Community Centre.
- Festivals are celebrated communally at Chanukah, Pesach (Passover) and Purim.
Children & Families
- LJHA staff advise and support in times of need and also refer to other agencies for help as and when appropriate.
- LJHA sponsors tenants children to take part in the LJCS annual 'summerscheme'.
- The Marjorie & Arnold Ziff Community Centre promote a weekly children's activity in partnership with the Zone. For further information please contact the Centre.
- Children's Chanukah and Purim parties are held annually.
Learning Disabilities
- A number of LJHA tenant’s have a learning disability and they are co-supported by the LJCS Rainbow Project.
- Social, educational and leisure activities are accessed at the MAAZ.
Mental Health
- A tenant’s vulnerability may be increased through episodes of poor mental health – tenant’s are supported by housing support workers managed by LJCS, Neshama Project.
Housing Service's Fund
- Limited funds are available to help tenant’s to replace certain household items or re-decorate to reduce hardship.
