Queenshill Regeneration Project
The first phase of the regeneration programme on the site of the Queenshill Estate has now begun with the development of an extra care sheltered complex containing 62 one and two bedroom apartments and communal facilities. A £4m grant from the Homes and Communities Agency has made the scheme possible. The building works will be completed in two phases, the first by July 2010 and the second phase by 31st March 2011.
The priority for the next phase of the programme will be to build 3 and 4 bedroom family homes for an ever increasing waiting list of internal transfers and external applicants.
