Leeds Jewish Housing Association are proud to support the Queenshill Synagogue, which has been an integral part of our history, providing an opportunity for residents to access a synagogue on their doorsteps.

Rabbi Jeremy Conway is the Minister of the congregation.

The synagogue is based in the MAZCC, and has welcomed members of the Chassidishe Synagogue following the closure of Donisthorpe Hall.

Services take place on Shabbat mornings and festivals. The synagogue is an Orthodox congregation and the Nusach Ari prayer rite is used.

A range of measures has been put in place to ensure the safety of attendees. You can learn more by accessing this risk assessment – please note that this may be updated periodically if and when circumstances change.

The key features of the risk assessment are:

  • The synagogue has been set with a limited number of spaces. In view of this, we would appreciate you indicating your attendance in advance by contacting Simon Phillips on 07584 601192, or e-mail simon.phillips@ljha.co.uk.
  • Please do not attend if you displaying any of the commonly-recognised symptoms of Covid.
  • Please wear a mask during the service unless medically exempt.
  • An air purifier will be in operation during service and the door at the rear of the synagogue will be kept open or ajar depending on weather conditions.

If you would like to sponsor a kiddush, please contact Louise Diamond on 0113 2687364.
